Boar's Head Tavern Crew

The atmospheric Boars Head tavern will again be open for the entire event, from Friday through Sunday, for all your food and drink.  Once again the hall will be decorated and the fire will be lit.

Boars Head will also be serving a period feast, more details will be upcoming. Prices for feast will be available closer to the date of Baron Wars IX.

Keep in mind that this is a seperate group from the Marche of the Marshes, do NOT send checks for feast with pre-registration. Fees will be payable apart from the site's to a separate address.

Firewood

Please be aware that the event site is inside the new emerald ash borer quarantine zone.

What this means to you:

  • Firewood cannot be moved from Michigan into Ohio - $4000 fine
  • Firewood can be brought from non quarantined areas to the fort. But you cannot take it back out of the quarantined area. $4000 fine.
  • Firewood can be moved within a quarantined area freely.

This site is Discreetly Damp!

(use a mug/cache the bottles IN your tent - rules will be viciously enforced by rabid security staff)

Site Facilities:

Small cooking fires are allowed with fire buckets or A-B extinguisher in camp, ask about the rules for firepits at Troll! City water is available on site.

Food merchants are hosting the atmospheric, candle-lit Boars’ Head Tavern in a beautiful fireplaced stone edifice. (replete with entertainment and revelry!)

Restaurants, ice, groceries and most all the usual wished-for amenities are about a mile distant.

We now have a new Ultra Quiet Camping area outside the Fort walls, - again, - ask at Troll. Nearby hotel/motels are available for those who are not much into the whole "period" experience.

Offsite stabling will be available for horses at a (low) fee. Leashed pets are allowed if quiet / friendly / cleaned up after!

Modern handicap-accessible restrooms are on site. (as well as small facilities more reminiscent of the Great War)

A shower tent will be available (water at ground temperature) - or feel free to bring your solar shower bags.

Bardic fires (separate drumming/dancing & low-key versions) will be tended for the late-night revelry crowd inside the Fort, set against the shimmery backdrop of the scenically beautiful Maumee River!
